Welcome to the YA Department!

 Our Young Adult Department is committed to meeting the specific needs of Wantagh's teens and pre-teens. We aim to provide informative, creative and amusing material. We also strive to offer fun and interesting programs. We encourage young adults to bring us their suggestions.

The YA Department is specifically designed to serve young people in grades 6 – 12. Here teens and “tweens” will find a variety of fiction books (paperbacks & hardcovers) that include new popular titles, various series and the classics. The non-fiction book collection includes cliff-notes, information on current issues and biographies. To assist students with school assignments we have on-line computers with helpful databases available for use in the Adult section of the library.
