Friends of the Library
The Wantagh Friends of the Library is a group of community members dedicated
to the enhancement of the library and the programs it offers to the community.
Dues, contributions and money raised through our community book sales have
enabled the Friends to augment the library budget and purchase various items
that enhance library services. Some of the more recent purchases have been
a projector for showing movies to the community, new furnishings for the
teen area and tables and 75 chairs for the community room. In addition,
we have purchased a video drop off container and a new bench that have been
placed outside the front door for everyone's convenience.
In the months preceding our May and November book sales, the library will
accept donations for the sale. Adult and children's books, tapes, videos,
CDs and DVDs in good condition are welcome.
We invite members of the community to join us and attend our monthly
