Adult Reference Department

The Wantagh Public Library Adult Department is here to assist you with all of your research needs, as well as give Reader's Advisory. In addition the WPL Adult Department offers numerous programs to meet the needs of the community including, bus trips, special lectures, and workshops. There are currently 8 public access computers in the Reference Department which are available for use with a Wantagh Library card or proper identification. Free wireless internet access is also available during library hours. Electronic resources are available online in the library and from home. Your library card bar code number is your key into these great sources. Please see the "Research" tab to get started.

logoNOVELISTLg This "Reader's Advisor" database has something for everyone. Adults, Teens and children will be able to identify other books based on titles, authors and topics they have enjoyed. It also provides full text reviews and annotations for over 20,000 titles.

Talking Books and Braille Service for Nassau Residents

Nassau Residents are eligible for both talking books and braille books through the New York Public Library's Andrew Heiskell Braille and Talking Book Library. To borrow audio or braille books from the Andrew Heiskell Library you must first register with them.
